We had a leak coming from one of our chimneys, the leak had been misdiagnosed several times before by other trades which cost us time and money only for the leak to remain. I emailed Mark Dixon who although catching him at a busy time said he would send his son Sam around the next day. Sam accurately diagnosed the issue which unfortunately meant demolishing the granite chimney, removing the faulty lead tray and associated lead work and rebuilding the chimney. Mark recommended an excellent builder for the demolition and Sam returned to carry out the leadwork replacement which looks like a work of art ! Very pleased with the work carried out by Dixons Roofing and Leadwork. I would not hesitate to recommend Mark, Sam & Co. Many thanks.

The Dixons has been a family-run roofing and leadwork business in Kingskerswell since 1984. We are a family business, not a call centre: when you call, you speak to the people who will do the job. We give straight advice, turn up when we say we will, and leave your home clean and tidy.
We are roofers and leadworkers by trade and VELUX Certified Installers too, so whether it is a new roof window, a leaking chimney or a full re-roof, the same experienced team does the work.

It means VELUX have approved us to install their roof windows, blinds and accessories. You can find us by searching your postcode on the VELUX installer finder. We are also TrustMark registered for VELUX installations and repairs, which you can check on the TrustMark website.
Are you accredited?
Yes. We are VELUX Certified Installers, TrustMark registered for VELUX installations and repairs, and members of the CERTASS trade association. Each one has a public listing you can check, linked at the bottom of every page.
Which areas do you cover?

Do you only do VELUX windows?
No. VELUX roof windows are a big part of what we do, but we are roofers and leadworkers by trade. We take on re-roofs, roof repairs, chimney work and all kinds of leadwork.
Can you fix a leaking roof?
Yes. Most leaks come from slipped slates or tiles, failed flashings, chimneys or valleys. We find the actual cause and fix it properly, rather than covering it up.
